Syscon Summer school 2023

A brief Overview: The SysCon Summer School is an outreach event organized by the IDP in Systems and Control Engineering (SysCon) at IIT Bombay. It will consist of a set of lectures on four topics in dynamical systems and control theory delivered by SysCon faculty members. The topics are selected to reflect some of the ongoing research activities in SysCon which are of potential interest to both academicians and industry professionals. The lectures will be accessible to senior undergraduate students, graduate students and others with equivalent qualifications. Numerical demonstrations and lab visits will also be organized.

Expected outcome for participants: The participants will be introduced to various ideas in the domain of dynamical systems and control. In particular, they will learn the following: 

1.  Basics of quantum mechanics and quantum control and ideas related to quantum information and quantum computing. 

2. Basic understanding of vibration control problems, motion planning fundamentals and modeling and nonlinear control of space/aerial vehicles. 

3. Control techniques including internal model-based designs, Lyapunov methods and geometric optimal control.
