"Nothing in biology makes sense except in the light of evolution." – Theodosius Dobzhansky.
The intertwines of the various dimensions of evolution is the backbone of our understanding of the beauty of the diversity of life. From the adaptation of species to the molecular mechanisms underlying various physiological and biochemical processes, an evolutionary perspective is essential in understanding the intricacies of life itself. As a field, Evolutionary Biology bridges various disciplines, allowing profound insights into the past, and guiding predictions for the future.
Continuing the legacy of the Conference of the Indian Society of Evolutionary Biologists (ISEB), the 6th ISEB Conference calls for every individual having an interest or expertise in the field of Evolutionary biology from all domains, both within and outside India, to join, meet and involve themselves in discussion about the role and study of Evolutionary Biology in various domains of science. ISEB6 conference is expected to be a celebration of all forms of Evolutionary Biology across different levels of organization.
IISER Berhampur is excited to announce that this edition of the annual ISEB conference will be hosted at its beach-side campus from October 30th to November 1st, 2025. We invite you all to ISEB 6. As we gear up for the conference, further details will be posted on the website. Block your calendar and look up for travel options (helpful information will be posted).
