About ISEB
Indian Society of Evolutionary Biologists is an independent society established in 2018 for the purpose of propagating Evolutionary Perspective. The society brings together scholars working in broad field of Evolutionary Biology from all across India. For more details, please visit society website.
Since its inception, the society has organised several meetings and outreach programmes. ISEB conferences are annual conferences that attracts society members as well as scholars working in Ecology, Evolution, Ethology, Wildlife Biology and other related areas in India and abroad. 2025 ISEB conference is the 6th edition.
ISEB announces the D. D. Joshi Best Thesis Award for outstanding work by a PhD student. The first award will be presented during the ISEB6 meeting.
PhD thesis that has been defended in the timescale January to December 2024 are eligible for application. For more information, please visit the website.
The awardee will be appreciated with a silver plaque and citation. They will receive a 5 year membership to the society and an invitation to attend the next ISEB meeting and share their work in the form of an oral presentation.
