DATE: 3rd November 2019
The first "One Day Automatic Robotics Workshop" was organised by 137 inverse in collaboration with the Robotics Club of National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) on 3rd November 2019 (Sunday) from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The workshop included presentation sessions on Introduction to Arduino boards and Arduino platform and the various components of a robot.
This was followed by a hands on session in which the students made their own automatic bots and fed it with their own code! The robots were designed to be controlled by both bluetooth and mobile applications.
The schedule of the event can be found here.

Here is what some of the participants have to say about the session:
Amrita Mukherjee, BS-MS (2019): As a total noob in dealing with electronic stuffs I learnt a great deal from this workshop. The basic prospect of writing a code and using it to make a robo car run on its track or engage it in a robo war gave us enough chills. Looking forward to more amazing ventures like this in future!
Baibhav Srivastava, BS-MS (2018): It was really an awesome experience! Starting With the introduction to Arduino, to building our own robots that followed a path! Learnt a lot about the various components that we used and also the programming needed!

DATE: 12th January 2020
With the overwhelming response from the first workshop and the eagerness of students who could not make it to the first one, there was a second "One Day Automatic Robotics Workshop" on 12th January 2020.
The content of the workshop was similar, but this time we had a robo-race at the end of the event with the tracks constructed by the organizing committee. The teams had to race the bots and control them using their mobile phone! The race could not be completed due to the large number of participants and time constraints. But we do look forward to organizing robo-races in the future!

Diksha Mittal, BS-MS (2019): It was an enriching experience to learn about arduino and work in a team, especially the construction of line follower robot using IR sensors and then making small changes in the running code to make it function differently. Hope to attend many more workshops as such in the coming days. Cheers!
