1. Where will the conference take place?

All the talks will be conducted at the Auditorium, Visitors' Hostel (VH), IISER Bhopal, Bhauri, Bhopal.

2.​When will the conference be held?

The conference starts on 30th January 2023 at 9:30 AM and will conclude on 31st January at 5 PM.

3. Once I reach the campus, where should I go for registration?

You can approach the Visitor's Hostel (VH) reception for the same.

4. How do I reach IISER Bhopal?

Please read the information here.

5. Do I need to arrange accommodation elsewhere?

We have a limited number of accommodations at the VH inside IISER Bhopal, which will be allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Alternatively, participants can stay outside the campus (about 15 km from the city), making their own arrangements for stay and intra-city travel. No travel grant shall be provided.

6. What other facilities can I expect to find at IISER Bhopal?

IISER Bhopal hosts a Café Coffee Day (CCD), Indian Coffee House (ICH), Amul Kiosk, and a Shopping complex that has a Restaurant, General stores, Bakery, Juice shop, SBI branch, Post office, ATMs (Canara Bank and SBI), Stationery shop, Salon. There is also a Primary Health centre and medical shop within the IISER campus.

7. Any suggestions on places to visit near IISER Bhopal?

UNESCO World Heritage Sites Sanchi Stupa and Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka are within 50 km of Bhopal. Bhopal city has several attractions, including Taj-ul-Masjid, Raja Bhoj Lake, Indira Gandhi Manav Sangrahalaya, and Tribal Museum. Van Vihar National Park in the city's centre and Satpura Tiger Reserve (located 125 km from Bhopal) will be major attractions for wildlife enthusiasts. 8. How can I expect the weather at Bhopal to be during the conference?

The weather is moderately cold during January. The maximum daytime temperature lies around 25.0°C, and the minimum temperature is 11.0°C.
