Application Limit
When considering where you want to apply to university, please be advised that we recommend submitting applications to between 5 and 10 universities. It should contain 1-3 reach schools, 2-4 match schools, and 2-3 backup schools.
We limit the number of universities that our learners apply to because:
-If a learner has researched universities and is applying carefully, there is no need to apply to any more than ten. In fact, we encourage learners to apply to fewer than this because if he/she has applied to universities that would be reasonable choices (good fits), he/she should receive multiple offers of admission.
- The time and money involved. Applying to universities is very time-consuming and often stressful. The college counselor, the teachers who write letters of recommendation, and the students all spend an enormous amount of time working on applications. To try to manage more than ten applications at a time is not a wise use of your time. Applying to many universities can also be quite expensive.
- When a university receives an application, they need to know that it is a serious application that deserves careful consideration. Universities appreciate the fact that we limit the number of applications, and as a result, they treat them with respect and know that IICS learners are serious about their choices.
Confidential Policy
All counselor/teacher recommendations, official transcripts and predicted grade letters are confidential and will be sent directly to the requesting higher education institutions. However, we support students in receiving the unofficial transcript from IICS.
