Board Involvement: The IICS Board of Directors invites parents to join its Committees. Get in touch if you wish to help design the future of IICS to ensure the success of all its current and future students. Key requirements are; a willingness to give work, wisdom, and relevant expertise to the school, embodying the school’s core dispositions of respect, responsibility and reflection, being discreet, and being able to respect confidentiality. On average, a commitment of 3-5 hours a month is needed.
To join our Board Committees, please contact Figen Underdown, Board Secretary at boardsecretary@iics.k12.tr with a summary of relevant experience. To apply for one of our Standing Committees: Finance, Facilities or Policy, please fill out this form and attach your resume. You will be notified by the Board Secretary following review of your application by the Board.
How to Log in to Community Portal: As a school, we post our news and announcements on our Community Portal. It's easy to sign up, all you have to do is follow the instructions below.
- Go to https://communityportal.iics.k12.tr/
- Enter the email you provided to the Admission team (if you need help, please contact Deniz Polat: dpolat@iics.k12.tr)
- Create a username and password.
- Enter the invitation code: 89d98d524m
- Click sign up!
- When you are prompted to the sign-in page, enter your information.
- Check the “Remember me” box.
- Click “Login”

Primary Co-Curricular Activities: Thank you for joining our Athletics & activities director online this week. If you missed the presentation it can be found HERE. Please note that Primary Co-Curricular Activities will begin one week later, on September 26th to allow more time for the transition with the new bus company. In the meantime, you will receive an email from Open Apply to update your home contact details. The sign-up for Primary CCAs will be open as of next week.
Hisar Picnic: Please note the date change and save the date for the Hisar Picnic: Wednesday September 28th. The Hisar picnic is a time where the Hisar community gathers in the garden as a community to have a picnic lunch together.
Primary Back to School Day: The Primary School is excited to welcome all parents to "Back to School" information sessions next week (Wednesday, September 14th at the Marmara Campus) and (Friday, September 16th at the Hisar Campus).
BACK TO SCHOOL DAY is an important opportunity for you to learn about the school’s curriculum and your child’s classroom. At this time your child's homeroom teacher will present to you about our programme, overall expectations of your child’s grade level and daily routines of the school. Please note that if you are unable to attend this event we will be sending a recording of the presentation to parents as well. Please read the attached letters (campus specific) for more information and the schedule at each campus. Do not hesitate to reach out to us should you have any questions.

Food Committee Update:
Dear Parents and Students!
As the Food Committee our mission is:
To ensure that our children eat good, healthy and balanced meals at the school's cafeteria.
We started the NEW School Year with some improvements, which already began in June. Let us share some changes:
1. We have 2 main dishes: A Meat Dish and a Vegetarian Dish.
2. Our kitchen in IICS is Nut Free.
3. We promote less salt.
4. Two options for the desserts: Fruit and Dessert (less sugar).
5. Organic ingredients.
6. Students with allergies always have special dishes: Gluten Free, Nut free, Sesame free, Milk and Egg free.
7. Salad bar with many options!
8. We have five different menus (Mondays: Mexican Day, Tuesdays: American Day, Wednesdays: Mediterranean Day, Thursdays: Asian Day, Fridays: Turkish Day).
9. You can also find a description of some dishes which are new or have specific names on the menu.
We are constantly monitoring the quality of the food by making audits, and meeting monthly with the Sardunya Team. We strongly encourage you to come and taste the dishes served by Sardunya's Chef! You may find the September menu here.
