How to Audition & Dates

AUDITION/INTERVIEW DATES

When you complete your audition/interview application, you will be asked to pick a date for  your audition/interview. Each date is in a different location to help facilitate those who live in different areas. However, no matter where you live, you can attend any of the audition dates.  They will be first-come, first-served, so submit your application as soon as you can!

Once you submit your application with your preferred date, we will contact you with a specific audition time within the listed time frame.

June 3rd - AUDITIONS - Normal West High School (Normal, IL) @ 9 am-5pm

June 10th - AUDITIONS - Bolingbrook High School (Bolingbrook, IL) @ 9 am-5pm

June 11th - AUDITIONS - Disney II Magnet School (Chicago, IL) @ 9am-5pm

Note: If you cannot attend any of the audition dates, you may submit a digital audition for all areas (acting, crew, orchestra, video crew)

June 24th - CALLBACKS - Bolingbrook High School (Bolingbrook, IL) @ 9am-5pm (Invitation Only)

REHEARSAL & BUILD DATES

• You must be available for all rehearsals and all performances.  This point is non-negotiable.  If you are not able to meet this commitment, please do not audition.  The rehearsal schedule is:

• August 10-13 @ Bolingbrook High School

• September 1-4 @ Bolingbrook High School

• October 6-9 @ Bolingbrook High School

• November 24-26 @ Bolingbrook High School

• December 15-17 @ Bolingbrook High School

• January 8-13, 2024 @ Illinois State University

*Theatre Fest is January 11-13, 2024 for general participants; All-State arrives on the 8th.

AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS

1. READ: Thoroughly read the information below for the positions you would like to audition for. You may audition for multiple positions (actor, technician, video crew, and orchestra). 

2. PREPARE: 

   1. ALL: Headshot & Resume of your relevant experience (see end of packet for examples)

   2. Actors: Monologue (and song, if you choose)

   3. Crew: Portfolio

   4. Orchestra: Music audition

   5. Video Crew: Sample video and interview questions

3. FORMS: Fill out and get the following three forms signed. All positions - actor, crew, orchestra - must submit these to the appropriate application form.

   2. PHOTO WAIVER FORM (Read the Photo Waiver Policy Here)

   3. PERMISSION FORM

4. APPLICATION FORM: Submit your application to the forms below by MAY 26th.

   3. ORCHESTRA APPLICATION FORM

Note: Video Crew Submissions will be done via the Crew Application Form
