About Me

Believe it or not, this is not my first time at IHM. I went to school and graduated from here in 2001! In fact, Mrs. Forster, my grade partner, was my first grade teacher. I loved all of my time spent here and I always knew I would be back!

I came to IHM in February of 2019. This will be my third year as a homeroom teacher and I could not be more excited and grateful to be in first grade! In my opinion, it is the best grade and I can't wait to share my enthusiasm and excitement with the children. We will learn together using a variety of methods to include technology and hands-on activities.

I received my Master of Science in Education in grades PreK through 4th from Gwynedd Mercy University and am certified in the state of Pennsylvania. Through my degree, I got to work in Special Education and inclusive classrooms that hold a special place in my heart. I consider my classroom to be engaging and exciting, which I hope makes the children as passionate about learning as I am. We will be doing a lot of hands-on learning and using technology to supplement and extend traditional textbooks.

On a personal note, I was baptized at IHM and, as I mentioned, it is also where I went to school. I attended Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Flourtown for high school and absolutely loved it! I am a proud United States Navy Veteran, which not only offered me visits to places all over the world and completing my education, but it is also where I met my husband. We have three beautiful, energetic girls. I have two dogs named Gus and Bandit, and one cat, Luna. Of course, I love all Philadelphia sports teams, but the Eagles are my favorite! In my spare time, you can find me with family racing from one crazy adventure or activity to another.
