PreCompany and Company Dance Family,
EEK! After literally months of preparation and work, I am so excited to present to you the 2025-2025 Season of PreCompany and Performing Company Info Pack. Iknow how impactful these can be regarding scheduling or finances, and for that reason I ask that you do not text, email, or call me about these placements. If you would like to book a follow up conversation, please fill out this form and I will reach out to schedule on Monday. I will be taking the rest of today through the end of the weekend to spend time with my family.
Included are next steps, the calendar, links to the schedules, billing info, and placements with requirements.
For new invites/members, this is A LOT. I will be more than happy to talk through how this directly impacts your family before you make any decision.
For all returning members, you will see a couple of changes. We made these after completing the billing audit as well as taking in survey responses. If you are under the age 14, you have MANY years ahead of you! The graduating Seniors just remarked that what matters most is your attitude, your effort, and your commitment to yourself. Take charge of your training and don't worry what anyone else thinks!
Next steps:
Families will receive an annual company commitment form next week where they will list the groups they would like to participate in / are required to participate in, select any optional events they would like to attend, finalize solo/duo/trio requests, input payment preferences, and ask any clarifying questions. These commitment forms will be due Wednesday June 25th (to leave time for solo/duo/trio assignments to go out.
Solo/duo/trio assignments will be sent out June 23rd. Meetings and rehearsals will begin after Seaside Nationals.
Once all commitment forms are submitted, the CVDA team will confirm the groups (if optional groups drop too low, they may be cancelled or combined) and the fall schedule. In the event that anything changes from what was already sent out, families will be notified in the event it impacts their scheduling and fees.
Annual Company fees will be posted to your Company Jackrabbit accounts and a billing agreement will be shared for commitment with a deposit due by mid-July.
Dancers begin training this summer on June 30th.
Traveling choreographers will hold rehearsals in August, dancers must be present.
Sept 4 - 7th dancers will participate in the Choreography Camp Weekend where each group dance will have a 1.5 - 2 hour rehearsal with their choreographers to kickstart the process. Parents will have an informational meeting and we will have a show to celebrate the start of the season.
Sept 8th - fall dance season begins!

I chose to do both conventions ahead of the busy competition season to inspire and prepare dancers earlier in the year. By not competing groups at convention, I have seen they are more rested and focused on learning and the experience of the two days of intense training without added anxiety.
This annual calendar was built based on the family next-season survey feedback from this past spring. Most noticeable feedback included: 2 groups, 4+ competitions, no back to back weekends, no spring break weekends.
