Karthik’s primary research interests include education, health, and social protection. He will be delivering a plenary session titled ‘Using evidence to accelerate India's Development’ based on his new book, to illustrate how a large body of evidence accumulated over time can inform an overall strategy for national development.

Mr Pramod Bhasin has a global professional and entrepreneurial career in Financial Services and Business Process Management. Pramod is the former CEO of GE Capital India & Asia, and was CEO & Founder at Genpact Ltd until 2011. He founded Genpact in 1997 as part of GE Capital and built it into an independent global business that currently spans 35+ countries with over 125,000 employees. In 2007, Genpact was listed on the NYSE.
Mr Bhasin is currently the Director of Clix Capital, a Financial Services Business in India focused on providing digital platforms and financial services to consumers and small businesses. He is also the co-founder of Asha Impact, an inclusion and sustainability-focused investment firm. He co-founded the Skills Academy, focusing on vocational skills to low-income youth, and serves as a strategic advisor at Kedaara, a private equity firm.

Shawn teaches and conducts research on financial services, impact investing, and Social Enterprise. Using examples from completed randomised evaluations, Shawn will showcase how rigorous evaluations can be effectively used by organisations and enterprises to accelerate social impact in real-world settings.
