In this article, you will be focused on the key role of cells for life, learning about prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.
You will be writting an article about how a bacteria enters an animal eukaryotic cell and describes (in first bacterial-person) what it encounters through its journey to the cell nucleus. Your main-character bacteria will also explain the difference between this journey and a previous one to a plant eukaryotic cell.
To do this, you will first need to know the structure of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, distinguishing between animal and plant eukaryotic cells. You also need to know their main parts and how they work.
Real cell gallery: virtual microscope to explore cell types and parts.
Build-a-cell: interactive game to build and practice different cell types.
