In this article, you will be focused on volcanoes and earthquakes and will be presenting some of the most terrifying eruptions and seismic episodes that have taken place on our planet.
To do this, you will first need to know the structure of the Earth’s inner layers and of the outermost layer: the Lithosphere. In the article you should make clear why do earthquakes and volcanoes occur and how they work.
TASK 1: ORGANISING THE ARTICLE.
INDIVIDUALLY: Read carefully the content of the different sections for this article and, especially, the sections corresponding to your role.
TEAM: Download the template for the article and share it with all your team members and with me.
TEAM: Decide the order of the sections and write their title, in order, on the template. Make sure that all your teammates know exactly what to do.
TASK 2: LEARNING THE BASICS.
INDIVIDUALLY: Watch the Edpuzzle video and answer the questions in it.
TASK 3: WRITTING.
INDIVIDUALLY: Using the links provided for each section, write the text for your sections.
If your sections include text, it should be between 10-15 lines long for each one and it should be supported by one or two pictures/images/conceptual or mind maps/tables.
TASK 4: COMPLETING AND PUTTING TOGETHER.
TEAM: Put together the sections prepared by each team member, the front page, the mind map and all the other contents.
TEAM: Decide any final changes in the content or order (by consensus with your team).
TEAM: Complete together the section "Did you know...?"
TEAM: Make sure that the article is ready to be delivered.
TASK 5: DELIVERING THE ARTICLE.
TEAM: Deliver the article through our Google Classroom before the due date. Make sure that the name of your team and of the team members are clearly stated in it.
TASK 6: EVALUATING AND GRADING YOUR PEERS.
TEAM: Using the evaluation form, propose the qualifications of your team members. Take into account their role performance, their work and their contribution to the article.
INDIVIDUALLY: Using the evaluation form, think about your learning experience and let me know your suggestions and comments to improve the project.
