PHONES ARE BACK!
After a long protest by the students of IES el Picarral, the phones are back!
According to news info given by students, the phones of students will be allowed again. This new rule has gone ahead after a long protest by all the students. The director said that he thought it's necessary for the students because there are days that the wi-fi doesn't work. This news has been announced on the 15th May and will be enforced from next year onwards.
The students have accepted this rule because they want to be able to use their phones on the playground or between lessons.
Héctor De la Vega said that he wanted to use his mobile because his friends were playing football and he hates football.
Although the mobile can be used again does not mean that it can be used incorrectly.The improper use of the mobile phone will be sanctioned depending on the severity of the misuse.
With this information, we hope that the students of IES el Picarral are willing not to use the mobile phone incorrectly and if it gives problems like other years, we would ban it again

DRUG PLANTATION FOUND IN A HIGH SCHOOL
INSPECTORS FIND DRUGS IN GARDENING CLUB IN THE IES EL PICARRAL
Last friday, 26th of May the public high school IES El Picarral was subjected to a general inspection of regulatory orders by the government of Zaragoza, but they would never believe what they found there.
When the inspector arrived, she looked around all the high school facilities to check if everything was in order. She went into all the classes for a general check, without bad intentions and without any suspicion of what she might find. All the classrooms were very clean and everything looked normal. She didn't find anything strange there. When she arrived at the little garden where the students do gardening, she felt something strange in the air. Finally, the inspector opened the bags of "dirt" that was in the bottom of the garden to find the origin of that strange smell and she couldn't believe what she saw. The bag was full of drugs!
Right now, the police are working on the case. They are currently investigating the teachers and the students. For the moment, all the suspects had declared that they had nothing to do with it. We're waiting for more news about the situation.

THE FAKE NEWS RULES IN IES EL PICARRAL
Yesterday some interesting information about the IES El Picarral arrived in our office. Students of the Highschool had changed the official rules.
Last month one group of students of 3°B changed the Official Rules in the high-school IES El Picarral. The rest of the students of the picarral believed the FAKE rules believing that the teachers had written it, the students followed the FAKE Rules and the Picarral turned into chaos.
The students went to the director's office and they entered his computer getting all the important documents.
We had the chance of knowing about those rules. The list of rules is this:
1. You can get out of the class whenever you want and scream in the corridor.
2. You can eat in class
3. If you fail an exam you pass the subject
4. It is forbidden to scream, punish and take the mobile from the students.
The Teachers are very affected, they can't believe that this has happened. The students could be expelled from the high school.
The IES El picarral has become impossible.

ONLY 4 DAYS OF CLASS
Alcira said two weeks ago that it was going to be only 4 days of class each week. Alcira said that in a conference, and after, the Fridays were going to be a holiday. This piece of news was a trend in I.E.S. El Picarral, and this new law was only in this high school, the proof of a very innovative high school in Zaragoza, Spain. After this law the students were having amazing marks.
This new law was created for the mental health of the students. Also this is the extent of a recent investigation about mental health and the recovery of the students after school. The group of scientists that made this investigation told the Ministry of Education that the students didn't recover on weekends and because of that, on Mondays they didn't work as well as they could.
This new law will enter into force next Monday, May 21. This in order to extend the weekend to three days in order to improve the mental health of students. Although this study has already shown that this technique improves student performance, not all institutes and centers in Zaragoza have implemented it.

THE IDEAL SHIRT FOR STUDY
Radical changes in the clothing of education in Zaragoza.
After gathering the department of education in Aragon, they have reached an agreement. The students who live in Zaragoza, will have to go to class with the equipment of the Real Zaragoza.
The department of education has been debating the new law, but for most it has been approved. From June 25 of this year, all students who live in Zaragoza will go to class with the equipment of the Real Zaragoza. This agreement has been achieved since the people in the department believe that this is how they will make the local team known. Many managers don't agree with this new law,since they think that school students must study. Also parents of the kids complain since they do not agree with the rule of wearing the local team equipment.
The equipment of Real Zaragoza is a white shirt with shoulder pads blue with a pants blue. Also the equipment of Real Zaragoza has a second equipment. This equipment is a shirt red with dark red plain, with a pant red also.

IES EL PICARRAL WINS THE ZARAGOZA SCHOOL TOURNAMENT
The IES el Picarral soccer team has become the champion of the Zaragoza schools after beating all its rivals in the last school tournament, on October 26th 2023
The team, made up of young students, has shown great football quality and great teamwork throughout the tournament. The team's coach, Professor José Antonio Martínez, has been the best coach of the tournament and the top scorer has been Dani Escolano with a total of 27 goals, a player from Ies el Picarral.
The final of the tournament was played in the Zaragoza municipal stadium and it was a real football party. IES el Picarral beat the San Roque school by two goals to nil in a very exciting and hard-fought match.
After the victory, the students of Ies el Picarral celebrated their triumph with great enthusiasm and joy. The school has been congratulated by all the institutes and colleges for its great achievement.
Without a doubt, this victory is a great boost for school sports in Zaragoza and an example of what can be achieved with work, dedication and passion for sport. Congratulations to the Ies el Picarral team!
