This year, we have three different projects, two in English and one in French.
Ander Federío, Jon Fernández and Alex Quintela have written this summary about what they have been doing all along this school-year:
Etwinning is a community where voluntary pupils from different schools in Europe can communicate through its platform, our project’s name is Towards The Earth Day . Thanks to Etwinning these students can collaborate with each other for different projects, they can also learn about different cultures and countries and above all learn English. This year's project aims to work on issues related to the environment and the participants' cities, such as Earth Hour, our schools and cities and other issues such as recycling. We also made a group video call with all the students and teachers and had a good time learning from each other. In this project we have acquired a very enriching experience, recommendable for anyone who learns English. This is the link of our project: https://twinspace.etwinning.net/112451
Mikel Pintado has written this talking about the Basque/Greek experience in this project:
Etwinning is a platform used by many European countries for education that promotes social and cultural relations. The project is called “Ten days abroad” and has been a virtual student exchange because we have not been able to do it physically.First, we did some actions to get to know people who were online. These were to create a profile, talk about our city and make a video showing our school.
Then we formed groups with Greek students to work on some issues. The topics were related to the cultures, places, gastronomy, etc. of our countries. In addition, we did other activities, such as “Safer Internet day”, a logo contest and some tips related to what to visit in Greece, together with information from people who had traveled there from the Basque Country and Greece. Our impression has been good. We enjoyed working together and getting to know Greek culture. The local students were very friendly and talkative, and it was a great opportunity to meet people and do a special kind of exchange. If you are interested in seeing our project, you can see part of the project by clicking here:
