The Casa de Acolhimento Bom Pastor NH´, is an organization about reception and help, for people with social vulnerability, for example, people who lost their homes in floods or are unemployed, and also people who were waiting to return to other cities.
This shelter has been in existence since 1979, where at the time it was like a Social Welfare place, serving as a hostel, where it had its first headquarters in Bairro Primavera, NH.
The Bom Pastor NH Shelter, which is part of a organization, only serves local people. The Novo Hamburgo City Hall offers the Bom Pastor Shelter, with capacity for 25 people in high social vulnerability. Located at 424 Rua Bagé, in Boa Vista, the residence has a structure that resembles a family home, with male and female bedrooms, bathrooms, TV room with bookcase, cafeteria, full kitchen, where all the meals are prepared, meals under the supervision of a nutritionist including dinner and breakfast for the municipal hostel plus the equipped service area.
When arriving at the service, the first steps may include the preparation of documents and health assessment, having as reference unit the Basic Health Unit (UBS) Vila Kunz. The team also includes social educators, who promote cooking and craft workshops, among other activities that encourage social interaction and organization.
We, as a group of colleagues, think it is a very noble attitude, We were thrilled to read more about the hostel, the way they help, how they care. Iti s beautiful to see the way they help. Below, we have put some photos from inside the shelter, the affection and organization they have is beautiful!
If we stop to think, how many people have they managed to help, managed to provide a home, a bed, a blanket, warm food, a roof, congratulations to everyone involved.
