NGOs are non-governmental organization, in which are very important because they perform a position that the State often does not take. They accomplish the function of increasing the efficiency of public policies and innovating in solutions, optimizing their results. They create a relevant impact on society in social and environmental causes and are often partners with companies and the government. The institution present in this report is the Banco de Alimentos RS, a NGO.

The Rio Grande do Sul Food Bank Network, a local institution, was created in 2007, and it is an organization for any audience in need of their services. The Food Bank is a Civil Society organization of Public Interest. FIERGS Citizenship Council, which has since collected and distributed more than 60 million kilos of food. They help day care centers, schools, nursing homes, neighborhood associations...

The Food Bank has a register of assistance entities such as day care centers, schools, nursing homes, neighborhood associations, which have proven social function and suitability. It is an extremely judicious and important work, in which the success of the entire project depends.
