The CLIMARES Multi-users Equipment Center (MEC) provides a High Performance Super Cluster for researchers from the center as well as others from universities in São Paulo state. This cluster can be used in Earth Science studies and particularly in advancing comprehension on the impact of the planet's mean temperature increase in the atmosphere.
The cluster also support studies on urban impacts, hydrological resources management, renewable energy, health and economy, as well as store a huge volume of paleoclimatic, oceanic, ecological and hydrological data from CLIMARES researchers. The equipment is physically hosted at the Institute of Energy and Environment, which is the center's headquarters. The equipment follows the USP Multi-users Equipments Centrals regulations and is managed on USP Multi platform.
