Our Reading Curriculum: Success for All (SFA) Reading Wings

This year marks our second year implementing the Success for All Foundation literacy framework. For reading instruction, our students use the Reading Wings curriculum. This research-based program features 90-minute daily lessons tailored to support and challenge students reading at second- through sixth-grade levels.

Reading Wings builds a lifelong love of reading while strengthening vital comprehension and vocabulary skills. By exposing students to a rich mix of both fiction (narrative) and nonfiction (expository) texts, the program systematically targets five core areas:

• Vocabulary development

• Reading comprehension

• Reading fluency

• Oral-language skills

• Written expression
