Numbers
Let's start from small big numbers to big big numbers...
Million - One million, or one thousand thousand, is the natural number following 999,999 and preceding 1,000,001. The word is derived from the early Italian millione, from mille, "thousand", plus the augmentative suffix -one. It is commonly abbreviated in British English as m, M, MM, mm, or mn in financial contexts.
Billion - A billion is a number with two distinct definitions: 1,000,000,000, i.e. one thousand million, or 10⁹, as defined on the short scale. This is now the meaning in all English dialects. 1,000,000,000,000, i.e. one million million, or 10¹², as defined on the long scale.
Trillion - Trillion is a number with two distinct definitions: 1,000,000,000,000, i.e. one million million, or 10¹², as defined on the short scale. This is now the meaning in both American and British English. 1,000,000,000,000,000,000, i.e. 10¹⁸, as defined on the long scale.
Quadrillion - American System. In the American system, the Latin prefix refers to the number of groups of three zeros, not including the last group of three, which represents a thousand. Thus in the USA, a billion is 1,000,000,000 (109) and a quadrillion is a mere 1,000,000,000,000,000. (1015).
Quintillion - A quintillion is equal to 1 followed by 18 zeros, Which is 1000000000000000000 or a million trillions or a billion billions, or a million million millions.
Sextillion - Sextillion is a number equal to a 1 followed by 21 zeros. 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 is an example of a sextillion.
Septillion - The integer 1000000000000000000000000 (or 1024, a 1 followed by 24 zeros) is called a Septillion. The unit prefix "yotta" is commonly used to denote a multiplication by one septillion. There are all most a septillion molecules in a glass of water.
Octillion - A cardinal number represented in the U.S. by 1 followed by 27 zeros, and in Great Britain by 1 followed by 48 zeros. amounting to one octillion in number. Which would look like this 1000000000000000000000000000.
Nonillion - A nonillion is equal to 10^30, a quadrillion quadrillions, and 1 followed by 30 zeros. Which is 1000000000000000000000000000000.
Decillion - A number which is equal to 1 followed by 33 zeros or a billion trillion trillion or 1000000000000000000000000000000000.
Duodecillion - a cardinal number represented in the U.S. by 1 followed by 39 zeros, and in Great Britain by 1 followed by 72 zeros. amounting to one duodecillion in number. which is 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000.
Quattuordecillion - A cardinal number represented in the U.S. by 1 followed by 45 zeros, and in Great Britain by 1 followed by 84 zeros. amounting to one quattuordecillion in number.
Sexdecillion - A cardinal number represented in the U.S. by 1 followed by 51 zeros, and in Great Britain by 1 followed by 96 zeros. amounting to one sexdecillion in number. Which would looks like this 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.
Septendecillion - A cardinal number represented in the U.S. by 1 followed by 54 zeros, and in Great Britain by 1 followed by 102 zeros. amounting to one septendecillion in number. Which is 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.
Novemdecillion - The report estimates that the actual number of these so-called "small molecules" could be 1 novemdecillion (that's 1 with 60 zeroes), 1 million billion billion billion billion billion billion, which is more than some estimates of the number of stars in the universe.
Vigintillion - A cardinal number represented in the U.S. by 1 followed by 63 zeros, and in Great Britain by 1 followed by 120 zeros. Which is 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.
Googol - A googol is 10 to the 100th power (which is 1 followed by 100 zeros). A googol is larger than the number of elementary particles in the universe, which amount to only 10 to the 80th power. A googol is the large number 10¹⁰⁰. In decimal notation, it is written as the digit 1 followed by one hundred zeroes: 10, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000.
Googolplex - A googolplex is the number 10, or equivalently, 10 or 10¹⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰ ⁰⁰⁰. Written out in ordinary decimal notation, it is 1 followed by 10¹⁰⁰ zeroes; that is, a 1 followed by a googol zeroes. Which is bit hard to understand.
Graham's number - Graham's number is an immense number that arose as an upper bound on the answer of a problem in the mathematical field of Ramsey theory. It is much larger than many other large numbers such as Skewes's number and Moser's number, both of which are in turn much larger than a googolplex.
Infinite - The sequence of numbers that never ends is infinite. For example, a set of endless natural numbers. The infinity symbol is a mathematical symbol that represents an infinitely large number. It represents an infinitely positive big number.
