Members will have the opportunity to coach a course during the Community of Practice program.
Purpose:
Coaching a course will help you deepen your mastery of content and hone your leadership skills through exposure to a breadth of learner work, practice providing feedback, and experience guiding discussions and small groups.
Time Commitment:
Being a course coach involves committing 3 hours per week to the coaching experience.
This includes meeting 3 - 5 times during the course with your fellow coaches
Activities:
As a coach you have the flexibility to design your coaching experience to help answer two questions:
1. How might we best support our community in their learning journeys? What experiments might you run, what feedback might you provide, how might you create moments that matter, how might you catalyze learning?
2. How might you stretch yourself as a coach? How can you grow as a leader, feedback giver, and organizer? What can you do to learn about teaching and leading others in these skills and mindsets? How can you learn to set the conditions for learning and growth in a community?
We invite you to sign up for one coaching opportunity!
Note: You can only coach courses that you have already taken.
