Be the reason someone smiles today!

Hi!  My name is Candi Stradling and I am excited to continue as a part of an incredible team at IACS. After high school I started my educational journey at BYU-Idaho and then continued at Boise State University where I received my bachelor degree in Elementary Education in 2004.  My teaching career started in the Vallivue School District where I taught fifth grade for one year and sixth grade for three years.  I loved my time in the classroom, but decided to leave the classroom temporarily to be home with my own children during their early years.  During my nine years of being home I ran an in-home daycare all nine years and a preschool for the last five years.  In the Fall of 2016 I began working towards my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in math instruction. I graduated with my masters from Boise State University in May of 2019. While at IACS I taught fifth grade for three year. Over the last four years I have fallen in love with teaching first grade. I couldn't be more excited to continue on that journey for another year with a new group of students.  

Anyone who knows me well, knows that my family is my WORLD! My husband Jared and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary in December. Together we have four amazing children, Jordan (18), Jessica (16), Logan (13), and Autumn (11). Our children keep us busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. During the summer we love to unplug and take as many adventures as we can to the mountains where we hike, ride four-wheelers, play games, swim, etc. During the school year you will likely find me watching my children participate in various activities such as music, dance, soccer, football, basketball, track, and baseball. Watching my children do the things they love is the BEST! They make my life that much better!
