We are delighted to introduce a brand-new, regular series for the LAQuA community: The Monthly Webinars!
The goal of this initiative is to host a monthly online meeting featuring an expert presentation on recent research results relevant to the general LAQuA community.
When and where: These webinars will be held monthly via Zoom on Monday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM (Brasilia time).
Please note: The specific Zoom details (ID and Password) will be included in the announcement for each individual talk.
Send an email to laqua@ictp-saifr.org to suggest names for the next webinars!

Title: Heat transport and rectification via quantum asymmetries
Abstract: The repeated system-bath interaction model, also known as the quantum collision model, remains a versatile framework for studying quantum heat transport phenomena. This approach allows us to identify the fundamental symmetries that govern these behaviors. I will illustrate this by discussing some of our recent work, in which we investigated thermal rectification (asymmetric heat conduction) in scenarios similar to single atomic junctions, as well as quantum thermal machines, quantum thermalization, and strong coupling with the baths.

Title: Contextuality or Nonlocality? Take both!
Abstract: In this talk we shall introduce both concepts and their graph approaches. Moreover, we will review some discussions involving some traces of monogamous behaviour involving these two manifestations of nonclassicality and conclude with some new results showing experiments where you can have both.
