The strength of the PYP and arts integration lies in their inherent ability to afford children opportunities to be creative and collaborate with peers. "Inquiry remains the definitive experience from the children's standpoint" (IB PYP Arts) with arts used as symbolic languages to demonstrate broader conceptual understandings connected to units. Classroom educators collaborate with the Atelierista/ Studio Teacher to create environments, experiences and interactions which deepen the level of children's understandings through the arts meeting UOI as well as arts (music, dance, drama, visual arts) learning objectives.
