On 15th May KKB visited the farm for the final time this year. Prior to the visit the children wrote questions to ask Sarah the farmer. Many of the children were keen to help out and their questions reflected this as they asked questions such as, "Can we brush the horses?" and "Can we feed the goats?" During the visit the children had the opportunity to try out some real life jobs on the farm, this strengthened their understandings about our Responsibilities towards living things which we had explored in depth during our Sharing the Planet UOI.
KKB visted Hof Narr Farm on Wednesday 5th April. The children had the opportunity to observe wild bees in the new bee hotel, collected eggs from the ducks and planted various vegetable seeds. During each of these experiences, the children engaged in dialogues about how Living things are connected and enrich life on Earth. For example, how the bees are vital to helping the trees in the orchard grow fruits. We are looking forward to our next visit to see if our seeds have sprouted into plants.
