Terms and Definition
Athletics: the general name for a group of sports in which people compete usually to determine a winner.
Junior Varsity (JV): Junior varsity teams focus more on skill development in less-experienced players, preparing them for the varsity level.
Varsity (V): Varsity teams consist of more experienced players, who demonstrate high effort, skill level, and unwavering commitment to the sport.
U12: The "U" stands for "under", meaning players on these teams are under the age of 12 on September 1st of that school year.
ACSC II (Asian Christian Schools Conference Division 2): Comprised of Christian schools from seven countries throughout Asia (only varsity teams participate in this conference).
Home Games: Games played on ICSUD campus.
Away Games: Games played at other schools.
Tournament: Competition of three or more teams, competing for a trophy.
Invitational: Invite only tournament.
Meets: used for swimming and cross country meaning "race."
