Paying for Professional Development
District PD is free (and you are often paid) as an ICSD teacher. If there are fees associated without-of-district PD opportunities, there are funds available through the ICSD/Ithaca Teacher's Association. Use the links here to access the PD request forms and follow up with your building/department leader.

What are visitation days?
In accordance with the ITA contract, teachers have the opportunity to observe school programs within or outside your department/building/district. You would register your absence in Frontline (Aesop) as you would any other absence and code it as a "professional activity". Please communicate with your building administration well before your planned visitation.

Each school year, your building leaders will create time and space for the following required professional trainings: "Right to Know", "Prevention of Sexual Harassment" & "Data Privacy and Security".
