Under the law, ICSD is required to conduct Annual Professional Performance Reviews for teachers resulting in a rating of "highly effective", "effective", "developing", or "ineffective". ICSD views these observation/evaluation cycles as an opportunity for professional growth.

Non-tenured teachers are required to be observed at least three times. This includes two "announced" (scheduled) observations and one "unannounced" observation/walkthrough. Your observation cycle includes a pre-observation meeting, the observed lesson, and a post-observation meeting. Contact your building administrator for more information and to schedule your first observation for anytime after October 1.
