GREEN THERAPY

       ABOUT THE PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

We all already know the climate is changing and resources are not limitless.

We need to be more careful by using exhaustible resources. Thus the term “sustainability” is so  important that we all should learn and apply each subtitle of it. But, what is the sustainability?

Sustainability presumes that resources are finite, and should be used conservatively and wisely with a view to long-term priorities and consequences of the ways in which resources are used. Sustainability is about us, about our children and the world we will leave to them.

Thanks to GREEN THERAPY Project, we can explain Green Agenda and the importance of daily 'green' actions to our students in order to respect and  save our planet and our life on it.

WEEK 4

WRITING NOTES, SHARING IDEAS  AND MAKING A 2023 CALENDER

 AS A JOINT PRODUCTION

For this task, one responsible student had to share ideas on Note.ly with foreign Project partners about how to make a Calendar alltogether. In these pics, Sofia is sharing her ideas and is working on one month of the calendar using the webtool Canva

WEEK 5

*A POSTER FOR A BETTER FUTURE AS A JOINT PRODUCTION

Online Meeting on Zoom

  * MAKING MOTIVATIONAL STICKERS

A POSTER FOR A BETTER FUTURE

One responsible student in each team attended this activity. Merve Şanlı managed the activity on Zoom Online Meeting Program and the students worked together on Canva Web2 Tool. Almost half an hour, they wrote their slogans about a better future and used some icons about the project's subject. They all were happy to work together at the same time.

Our student Gaia gave her contribution with the slogan "Don't pollute...go green!

MAKING MOTIVATIONAL STICKERS

Students thought about slogans to promote sustainable actions and created sort of 'word clouds" in different shapes associating shapes and slogans themselves. They used the web tool "WordArt".

These stickers were then printed, plastified and 'sticked' at school, in visible spots where everyone could see them and feel motivated to  take inspiration and action!

Let's stick stickers around school as positive motivational reminders!

For example: "Eat local food" on a prepackaged vendor machine; "Use clean enery" on a classroom window; "Switch the light off" near a light switch; "Don't waste water" near a faucet in the bathroom; "Plant trees" in the school yard, on a light pole near a tree; "Reuse, reduce, recycle" on a dustbin, "Unplug electronic devices" on an Interactive White Board.

Curriculum integration

All topics of the project are integrated in the school Curriculum, as well, through readings and debates. You can check objectives here

https://school-education.ec.europa.eu/en/etwinning/projects/green-therapy-0/twinspace/pages/integration-curriculum

Students tried to express ideas and opinions about some solutions to make their own city, Enna,  cleaner, greener and more sustainable.

WHAT ABOUT E-SAFETY AND INTERNET NETIQUETTE?

We printed posters about E-SAFETY; then we used them as flashcards to be shown and commented. Through images, students debated on the meaning of them and about correct or wrong behaviours while online. Then we talked about our "Digital Footprint" and the fact that online life is not a different life: online life and offline life are complementary and we are responsible for both of them

Then students coloured them ...

...and hung them on our school board of the Project, so everyone can see them and take inspiration for a safer and more correct code of conduct  on Internet

EVALUATION SURVEYS

During and after the Project students have been asked to answer questions about the project itself, their own satisfaction, abot their awareness, their digital skills, etc etc. They were given a couple of Google Form surveys: answers have been analysed and it has been an occasion of reflection on the Project itself.

Feedback is extremely important because thanks to it we  understand strenghts and weaknesses and we learn how to work and plan better in the future.

GOODBYE!! BUT NEVER FORGET: GO GREEN....GO ETWINNING!
