ABOUT THE PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

Therefore we need to be more careful by showing feelings,emotions and behaviours according to situations that we live. In our life we may start taking precious thinkers int oconsiderations as models and good examples to follow. In our project we will be inspired by different great humanists, for example Hz.Mevlana and his golden advices for humanity.
Thanks to this Project, GOLDEN ADVICE OF HZ.MEVLANA we can explain 7 golden advice and their magnificence to our students. We are going to play a creative drama, make presentation, prepare school boards ,write acrostic poem,make poster,ebook,make a calendar by using especially web2 tools.As a result students will be able to develop and manage their behaviours,feelings by keeping precious advice of life in their minds.

EXPECTED RESULTS

Students will be able to use different type of web2 tools
Students will be able to communicate with somebody from different cultures.
Students will be able to learn how to behave more carefully.
Students will be able to reflect and control emotions
Students will be able to be more effective and feel more comfortable by introducing themselves and managing various tasks in English

E-SAFETY RULES

Students are studying the grammar rule of MUST/MUSTN'T and we are exploiting what is on their curriculum to work on digital citizenship, too. Students reflected and gave their ideas about E-safety rules; then they wrote them down on the blackboard and their copybooks as a reminder. After that...time for the poster (work in progress)!

FORUM: WORLD KINDNESS DAY

13th November

WORLD TOLERANCE DAY 16th November

Students working on topic (vovabulary, meanings, value, actions) of KINDNESS to share opinions and comments in the forum section of the TwinSpace of the project

CREATING AND DESIGNING THE LOGO OF THE PROJECT

Students from classes 3A,3D and 3A (and not only the 8 ones who are actually taking part in the project) made their own logos. They used all different tools according to their skills and interests: they felt involved, they expressed creativity and they had fun, too! :)

This interdisciplinary task has been introduced into the Art lessons curriculum in the morning and evaluated by a jury of teachers (Art, especially) even from different classes and teaching different school subjects (for example: Technology)

MEVLANA WEEK

In order to commemorate Hz. Mevlana on the 750th anniversary of his reunion,the year 2023 has been accepted as the ''Year of Hz. Mevlana. Because of this reason Şehit Uğur Yıldız İmam Hatip Secondary School Students made a video about Hz. Mevlana,his city Konya and What is Whirling Derwish?

Teachers and students are watching it carefully :)

We had a webinar on 12.12.2023 on Tuesday at 6pm cet time at Zoom.

Each partners and some of their students joined the meeting. We watched the Hz. Mevlana's Week Video

FIRST ADVICE: "IN TOLERANCE BE LIKE SEA"

Creating a mind map about this piece of advice

In classorom we started a brainstorming about the ideas of 'TOLERANCE' and 'SEA'. Students suggested words connected to these ideas. Then we opened a shared project on Canva webtool: each student added one word/idea. So 8 students, 8 ideas.

JOINT E-BOOK OF OTHER HUMANISTS AND GREAT MINDS GIVING 'GOLDEN ADVICE' AS MEVLANA'S

Starting from the great humanist Hz. Mevlana and his golden advice, we researched other humanists/great minds from our different cultures, to show the beauty of difference and to disseminate good feelings, emotions and behaviours.

We wanted to show that, despite different religions and cultures, the thing in common is that good behaviour, generosity, love and all these values are universal and that all of us, our young students especially, should consider these Great Minds as great examples and models to follow.

Italian team decided to present S. FRANCESCO D'ASSISI: students searched for info about his life in order to type a short biography. Then they looked for some of his sayings and advice and finally they chose some images and/or clipart to illustrate the slides/pages of the e-book dedicated to him.

MAKING A JOINT POSTER ABOUT THE 2nd ADVICE "IN MODESTY AND HUMILITY BE LIKE EARTH"

Inspired by the second Advice "In Modesty and Humility be like Earth" Giovanni and Lourdes, created a poster by sharing their designing project on Canva. Then they added their final product on the joint poster where all partners added their creations.

GAMES ABOUT FEELINGS USING WEB2 TOOLS

Playing with 'feelings' words was really fun!

Students enjoyed these web2 games about emotions: they played and at the same time they learned vocabulary to express and describe emotions and feelings. Great time together :)

MAKING A FEELING BOARD ABOUT THE 3rd ADVICE: " IN ANGER AND FURY BE LIKE DEAD"

Inspired by the third Advice "In Anger and Fury Be like Dead" students (not only students who are taking part in the project but even other students from different classes and ages,too) did activities about their emotions: first they investigated both negative and positive feelings and then during Art classes they represented them using different colours, subjects and materials on a so-called "Feeling Board" to be finally displayed at the Etwinning Corner of our school.

Other students debated about feelings in art and started another work in 3 steps.

SID- SAFER INTERNET DAY

6th FEBRUARY

On this day students have been involved inta a challenge about E-Safety. They have been playing a Kahoot quiz game about topics such as Netiquette, Cyberbullying and the importance to protect personal data and to use safe passwords.

Marianna won the challenge vs her Italian classmates!

4th ADVICE "IN GENEROSITY AND HELPING OTHERS, BE LIKE A RIVER"

All partners made videos and/or collected photos of students involved in actions and situations representing generosity, a virtue that should always flow limitless...like a river!

5thADVICE: ’’CONCEALING OTHERS' FAULTS BE LIKE NIGHT

Our task is empathizing with others by choosing proverbs in mother tongue and making a poster in mother tongue and then creating a joint video of all posters.

For our advice we have chosen a proverb in our dialect: Sicilian.

It sounds like that:

"If your tongue wants to say something, ask your heart first".

In our mother tongue (Italian) it sounds like:

"Se la lingua vuole parlare, deve prima al cuore domandare"

Our task has been working on words and association of ideas and creating stickers about this piece of advice using WordsArt. Then, all the stickers and designs have been combined together in a joint poster.
