Second graders Explore their library through various games and projects.
We spend time learning about computer coding.
We learn more about how call numbers work and become better at locating our favorite authors and subjects. Around mid-year Second Graders are invited to join a special reading challenge - the Ichabod Crane Explorers Club. This reading challenge encourages participants to go to our local public libraries and find a variety of "just right books" to explore.
These lessons are not meant to be stressful... Just try to have fun and enjoy :)
Also note, special area teachers do not have access to student seesaw accounts. Please contact me directly if you have any questions about an assignment - amoss@ichabodcrane.org. I look forward to supporting and working with you during this period of distance learning
Missed a previous lesson? No problem! All previous lessons will remain on this site until the end of online instruction. Simply complete the lesson and exit ticket (if available) to receive credit :)

Just for FUN! This is not an assignment :)
We will soon be "diving" into the Dewey Decimal System!
Learning how number order can help us find our favorite subjects and topics in the nonfiction section can be a lot of fun!
Watch this video to get an idea of what the Dewey Decimal System is all about!
Warning: It is SILLY!
