The Cattle Comb Project was developed by Akynna Neilson, with support from Jacob Smallwood. As a member of the Izard County STEMS FFA, Akynna recognized a recurring problem in livestock care: traditional cattle combs were expensive and wore out quickly, requiring frequent replacement. Determined to find a more practical and cost-effective solution, she designed and produced durable 3D-printed cattle combs. These innovative combs not only reduced costs but also proved to be effective in real-world use. Akynna even showcased and utilized her 3D-printed combs during her FFA competition, demonstrating both creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on innovation.
