Who are we?
Who are we?
We are students from Izard County STEM High School who are a part of the EAST Initiative Program. Our EAST program has been working diligently to support and educate our community to the full extent of our power. Through our efforts, we hope that our future projects will change our school and community for the better.
What does EAST stand for?
EAST Initiative (Education Accelerated by Service and Technology) is a student-driven program that focuses on making a real impact in our school and community. In EAST, we don’t just learn from textbooks, we learn by doing. Through hands-on, project-based learning, students work together using technology and creativity to find practical solutions to real problems in our school and community.
EAST is built on four core values: service, leadership, innovation, and collaboration. These values guide everything we do. Whether we’re designing with 3D printers, creating digital media, building websites, or partnering with local organizations, our goal is always to give back and make a difference.
What makes EAST unique is that students take the lead. We plan projects, communicate with community partners, and see our ideas come to life. EAST helps us build confidence, leadership skills, and real-world experience that prepares us for the future, while also serving others in meaningful ways.
