Educational objectives and methodologies used

The project based on the experience of partner organizations in the field of mathematics education, development of STEAM tools, language education, implementation of small projects and international cooperation and it was supported by a research in mathematical competence of children and the study of expectations and results addressed to teachers. The multifaceted activities will focus on the following objectives:

  1. Support teachers in the acquisition of new skills and professional competences through the carrying out of project activities;

  2. Support the learning of mathematical concepts and promote a first approach to the use of foreign languages ​​in kindergarten children;

  3. Strengthen methods, techniques and forms of work, aimed at pupils in kindergarten using ICT;

  4. Improving the quality of work of partner organizations in the area of ​​basic skills development, including mathematical skills, with pupils in kindergarten.

Mobilities for teachers

The project also included 6 mobilities for teachers and dedicated to the acquisition of new skills for the promotion and development of mathematical skills in children. During the mobilities the following activities will be carried out:

  1. Design and implementation of workshops for pupils on different topics:

a. The first concepts is introductory methods and work with the youngest children;

b. Cause and effect means how to consolidate knowledge through games and linking phenomena;

c. Match and compare mean to trigger mathematical thinking;

d. How to make stories about numbers using various activities;

e. Mathematics in practice means to teach for the future;

f. Building passion, interests and relationships in the team through coding and STEAM.

  1. Participation in seminars and training courses;

  2. Visits to other schools / educational facilities:

  3. Exchange of experiences, discussions on methodical and organizational contents, including project management;

  4. Creation of a database of the material produced;

  5. Organization of "Mathematical Games".

Expected results

At the end of the project it is expected to improve the skills of teachers and students in different areas.

For teachers:

  1. Acquisition of methods / techniques and forms of working with children in the field of mathematical skills, ICT, communication in a foreign language;

  2. Better understanding of social, cultural and linguistic diversity and greater sensitivity towards the needs connected to it;

  3. Better command of foreign language communication, greater motivation and satisfaction from daily work.


For students

  1. Acquisition of skills and achievements in the field of mathematics education and ICT;

  2. Improvement of reasoning skills, decision-making, teamwork, problem solving, improvement of interpersonal relationships, increase of self-esteem, and improvement of practical skills (language and technology);

  3. Greater intercultural awareness, better command of foreign languages.

Planned activities

  1. Design and implementation of workshops for pupils;

  2. Participation in planning meetings with partners on the eTwinning platform;

  3. Participation and / or organization of eTwinning events on different themes (You can see the activities at this link: Mathematical events;

  4. Design and creation of mathematical games accompanied by proposals for didactic activities to be shared between the partners;

  5. Participation in monitoring to detect the acquisition of mathematical skills and competences on a selected group of children in each partner organization

  6. Participation in the survey intended for teachers for the detection of needs, expectations and assessments on the outcome of the project.(language and technology);

  7. Greater intercultural awareness, better command of foreign languages.
