International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union #440 represents over 1,300 Electrical workers in Riverside County.        IBEW #440 is proud of our long history in helping build & maintain Riverside County since 1939. 

Our mission is to be the collective voice for the many men and women employed in the Electrical, Fire Life Safety and Voice-Data-Video industries in our region. 

Our top-of-the-line training gives applicants everything they need to access a lucrative career as a Union Electrician.

From zero experience to state certification, we are here to support you along your journey to becoming the best electrician possible all without acquiring student loan debt. Our mission is to elevate the industry standards and that starts with the training provided to you at no cost. 

Our "Earn While You Learn" model pairs classroom  education with paid on the job training. This model has proven successful not only at setting apprentices up with future long term careers but also by not starting them out in debt to a trades school or relying on a single contractor to "sponsor" their apprenticeship classes.
