The award-winning Baldwin County High School Tiger Theatre troupe is seeking your support to represent our school and community at the State Theatre Festival!

Our Goal: UAB State Theatre Festival

Our talented students have earned a coveted spot to compete against the best in Alabama. We are raising funds to cover the essential travel and lodging costs required for the entire troupe to attend this prestigious event.

• Event: Walter Trumbauer State Theatre Festival

• Location: University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB)

• Dates: December 4th, 5th, and 6th

Why We Need Your Help

We are working diligently to raise $5,000.00 to ensure every student can participate without financial burden. These funds will directly cover:

• 🚌 Transportation (bus)

• 🏨 Hotel accommodations for two nights

Our Winning Performance: "THE LAST MILE"

Tiger Theatre recently brought home the highest honor, winning BEST IN SHOW at the District competition for our powerful one-act play, "THE LAST MILE"!

At the State Festival, we will perform "THE LAST MILE" once more, competing against 13 other high schools for a chance to earn a bid to the prestigious Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC) in March!

In addition to the main competition, our students will showcase their skills in various Individual Events and a Group Musical event.

Producing quality educational theatre requires funding. How can you help BCHS Tiger Theatre? I'm glad you asked! There are many ways to help our troupe financially. A musical can range from $5000 to $10,000 or more based on the costuming, technical needs, and the rights to the production. Additionally, our troupe will be traveling to several theatre festivals and competitions this year. Your kind donations will help offset some of those travel expenses for our students so that anyone eligible may participate. 

Mr. Butler is currently writing grants to help with our overall theatre budget. Grant requests are stronger when a grant committee sees community support through sponsorships and contributions to give the request "matching funds."
