The Last Mile is more than a play; it is a mirror held up to society. Developed by the award-winning Baldwin County High School Theatre Department, this original production tackles the heavy themes of discrimination, intolerance, and the struggle for connection. After sweeping the District and State competitions, this troupe of students—many of whom are new to the stage—has captured the hearts of judges and audiences alike with their raw honesty and emotional depth. Now representing Alabama at the Southeastern Theatre Conference, The Last Mile offers a timely and urgent reminder that while hate is easy, the work of unity requires the courage to go the distance.
All proceeds from these performances will help cover the expenses for the troupe to travel to SETC. The cost of the trip is 22,500.00.
