Percussion Maintainence Tips

General Care

Make sure that you mark you sticks and mallets so that you know they are yours. Always keep your instruments ( bells and drumpad) indoors when storing them. If y our sticks break or your mallets, see Mr. Kemerer to learn how to fix the mallets or get replacements. Overall, care must be taken to keep your sticks and instrument in working condition. When traveling, always use the percussion kit bag to store and haul your equipment. It is highly recommended that whenever you are playing drums to wear earplugs to preserve your hearing. The drumpad is fine, but when playing loudly on drums, the overtones can hurt your hearing.
