Minimum Exchange Numbers

The work on the Minimum Exchange Numbers task force is in full force and we are close to a breakthrough!

IAESTE Malta is joined by 4 other IAESTE committees (US, Jordan, Iceland and Poland) to tackle this important issue. The aim of the task force is to find a metric that will help us set up the formula for the minimum exchange numbers for every country. We have analysed the trends between previous exchange numbers and metrics such as population, student population, GNI and GDP and concluded that these are all inefficient ways to calculate the Minimum Exchange Numbers. We are in the process of assessing the population of cities where LCs are located and we believe that this will give us more accurate results, both for Minimum Exchange Numbers and for the Goals.
