Dear Friends
The past weeks have been very difficult for all of us. The current health crisis around the globe has brought many concerns and much sorrow to us. Therefore, I was also very happy to hear some positive news shared in our WhatsApp group and through the NCS mailing list.
We learned from IAESTE Panama that one of their oldest employers, Mr Herman Bern, recovered from COVID-19 after more than 50 days in hospital! We hear from Europe that some borders may open in July and we are hearing from employers who are still very interested in welcoming motivated students from around the globe.
Although not all news are positive at the moment, I would like to invite you all to read through this newsletter with a smile on your face. Please enjoying the energy of the motivated people working on the future of IAESTE.
It is this positivity, the vision of a better world, which was the motivation for our foundation! Together, as one association, we can rise out of this crisis, better than before. To achieve this, I would also like to invite you to participate in the Strategy 2025 challenges or to join the task forces. Some are still searching for members.
Working together will lead us through this crisis. It will strengthen our cooperation and lead to a lot of great ideas. I recently followed a conversation where leading sociologists explained that, some things, which have been changed by the crisis, should stay changed. For IAESTE, I would suggest we keep the energy in our task forces and in the Strategy 2025 as they will show us the way!
I hope you will enjoy this issue of our newsletter! Stay safe and healthy!
