Ensure all bathrooms used have been cleaned and mopped.
Ensure kitchen has been cleaned including the floor swept and mopped.

Gas should already be on. If no gas is flowing, check that the main tap is on. Located in the metal box at the chimney base.
DO NOT TURN OFF
WHEN YOU LEAVE
The gas tap is located under the stove.
The stick-on plastic dots are placed at the “Off” position for all knobs.
Oven use – the igniters should work for the ovens. If one oven does not work easily, try the other oven (until the broken knob is fixed, you can move the unbroken one). Gas cooker pilots for the oven and grill can be difficult to light - have patience.
Open the oven door - you need to be able to see the pilot flame. Turn the knob to pilot (first position clockwise from off) and try using the igniter button. It takes a few clicks to work. Hold the knob in for one minute, then turn to the required temperature. Note that these ovens are quite hot - you may wish to set the temperature to 20 degrees less than the required temperature. And keep an eye on the food!
Note that we are currently trying to find a plumber to completely service the stove (February 2022).
Stove burners must be lit using the gas lighter on the kitchen shelves.
TURN OFF ALL PILOT LIGHTS, LEAVE THE GAS TAP UNDER THE OVEN ON
Hot water tanks are located in the boiler room adjacent to the waxing benches.
Make sure the taps are in the correct configuration - as per the signs attached to the boilers. If they are not, you will notice water on the boiler room floor.
Then turn on the power point for the pump on the right hand wall, followed by turning on the two heating units at the power points on the left hand wall. Do not touch any controls other than these!!
Tanks should take about 45 min to heat.
TURN OFF POWER POINTS ON BOTH SIDES
The water in the tanks must first be on and hot (see above). There is a pump that must be turned on in Rm 1, enter Rm 1 and open the panel on the LHS wall. A timer outside Room 1 door controls the heating times (on at 3.00pm, off at 8 am). A green light at the timer comes on when the pump is running. Turn the heaters on at their tap where required.
TURN OFF ALL ROOM AND COMMON AREA HEATERS AT THEIR
VALVES ON DEPARTURE.
TURN OFF GAS AND BOILER ROOM HEATERS
Depending on the space required either the fridge located just outside the kitchen or the cool room can be used. To use the cool room an on-off switch is located next to the thermostat inside the cool room. Do not adjust thermostat
Note: there is no large freezer available for the summer.
CLEAN AND TURN OFF. LEAVE THE FRIDGE AND COOL ROOM DOORS OPEN
Operation for the fireplace is by the remote control which is located on the wall where the light switches are. When pressing the "On" button, it can take up to a minute for the gas to make its way through the lines for ignition to occur. Please be patient.
TURN THE FIRE OFF EACH EVENING
Always ensure unit is full of water before turning on the power.
