Mockingbird came to HZ with an exciting opportunity to market the first newborn-ready direct-to-consumer baby stroller. They had an idea that they could design a premium, full-sized stroller with all the bells and whistles—without the hefty price tag. But to conceive the idea and then introduce that baby to the world, they needed a partner.
Historically, baby strollers have ranged from high-end to budget with very little crossover. But parents today deserve—and expect—better.
HZ worked with Mockingbird to develop and launch its brand, as well as design its signature product—an effortless-to-use baby stroller for the modern family.
Armed with the experience that comes from designing brands from scratch and launching new products for hundreds—easily thousands—of clients, we jumped right in: HZ advised on the stroller’s product design—resulting in enhancements to the functionality and compartments—as well as textiles and patterns.
Seeing is believing. A short video demonstrates how the Mockingbird stroller can be folded with one hand and other smart design elements like secret storage and a UPF 50+ canopy with an interior pattern designed to promote visual development.
To ensure a great customer experience, we considered feedback from parents and potential customers and developed a beautiful, easy-to-use website backed by the best in SEO and user-experience architecture. When our work was done, the brand was ready for the world, fully formed.
A new brand is precious cargo. Mockingbird entrusted HZ, and the brand we developed propelled the company into an instant success. Since officially going to market in February 2019, we’ve doubled the revenue goals set prior to launch. The brand continues to do right by families, donating a portion of sales to its partner charity, Baby2Baby, an organization dedicated to providing basic necessities to families in need. As a parenting products company, Mockingbird has a bright future ahead, with plans to solve for even more new-parent woes. We’ll be right there every step of the way, lookinxg proudly on.
