The school has a duty and responsibility to encourage pupils into the habit of attending school regularly to achieve their full potential.
Reporting absence
It’s important that you contact the school before 9.00a.m on the morning of any absence. (01248 663 894) or via SeeSaw.
Arriving at school
Please ensure that your child arrives at school on time each day.
We are required to record late absences.
The school gates are open between 8:50 – 9:00.
The Breakfast club (which is free) is open between 8:25 – 8:35 daily and they will go straight to their classes after they have finished.
Holidays
Holidays during term time, as directed by the Local Authority, the school can only authorise up to 10 days (Foundation Phase and KS2.)
Parents are encouraged not to take pupils on holiday in term time. If so, parents must apply for the leave in advance of booking the holiday (link to form available from the school.)
Illness
If your child is absent from school for 20 sessions (half day/,) 10 full days at any time during the school year due to illness, we will contact you as parents.
Future absences will not be authorised unless a medical letter is received by the school explaining the reason for each absence.
Medical/Dental Appointments
We encourage parents to make appointments out of school hours.
Where it is not possible then the medical appointment card should be shown to the school prior to the appointment or on return from the appointment.
