What do parents say?

"The reason I chose Welsh medium education at Ysgol Hafan y Môr, was to give my children the opportunity to learn an additional language and the ability to communicate through both English and Welsh. My partner and I never had the opportunity to learn through the medium of Welsh so we are happy that our children are able to do so. Having the opportunity to send both our daughters to the Cylch Meithrin which is integrated within the school, really helped the transition into Nursery. This also gave them a head start with their Welsh language". Ms Zura, Tenby.

"Our children transferred to Ysgol Caer Elen two years ago and with thanks to the Language Centre and the excellent teaching, they are now fully conversant in Welsh. The whole experience has been a totally positive one, especially as their understanding of Welsh was very limited when they first joined". Andrew & Mandy Stirling.

"I chose for my children to attend Hafan y Môr and Welsh medium education as I felt that they would hugely benefit from learning Welsh, now and in the future. As an adult, I wish I had been given the opportunity to learn through the medium of Welsh. I am so pleased with how my 6 year old son is doing in school, his Welsh skills in speaking and reading are excellent and improving all the time. Each of his teachers have been so nurturing, supportive and helpful and my younger daughter has also settled in so well already". Ms Smith, Tenby.

“Our outcome has been positive as we are astounded at how quickly our daughter's grasp of Welsh has come along in under a year after transferring to Welsh medium education. Not only that, she has settled into her new school better than we could have ever expected, and that is due to the supportive, friendly nature of the school where all of the children are respected.” Maria from Milford Haven.
