Welcome to St Aidan's Church in Wales VA School website.

St Aidan's is a Voluntary Aided church school, one of 4 in Pembrokeshire.

Our school has earned a reputation for providing a warm, secure and stimulating environment in which pupils can grow and learn. We are an Attachment Aware and Trauma Informed school and this means that we actively develop the relationships that exist in our school.

We follow a positive behaviour policy which has emotion coaching at its heart. Behaviour is very good in our school because of the value placed on relationships. We work hard to provide a wide-range of balanced learning opportunities for all pupils; opportunities that not only fulfil their educational needs but help them develop into independent and responsible young people.

Our primary aim is to promote the highest achievement of each child in a caring and stimulating environment. We see every child as an individual and celebrate their successes based on their starting points and stages of development as an individual, not measured against others.

We believe that we can only achieve the best for your child by close cooperation between home and school. The staff and I are always available to talk to you about any aspect of your child’s education and to share in the celebration of achievements or discuss any concerns that might arise. I would ask that if anything concerns you that you bring it to our attention at an early stage in order that difficulties can be resolved without tension.

At St Aidan’s CiW VA School we are concerned with all aspects of your child’s development and the different needs of our pupils are central to the planning and implementation of the school’s curriculum.
