The UK Online Safety Bill is a proposed law that aims to make the internet a safer place for everyone by regulating internet companies and social media platforms. It requires companies to take responsibility for removing harmful content and to have a safety officer overseeing compliance with the law. The bill is still being reviewed and amended and is expected to become law very soon (see updates here). Its aim is to protect children and adults online
