Ni fydd y rheolau hyn yn tanio oni bai bod ffeil CBGY AD wedi’i lanlwytho’n llwyddiannus (h.y., heb unrhyw fethiannau sgema neu storio – bydd dal cyfle i lanlwytho cynifer o fersiynau ag sydd angen i sicrhau cywirdeb y data) a gofynnwn i chi lanlwytho fersiwn cyntaf o’r data i DEWi cyn gynted â phosibl er mwyn hwyluso’r broses hon. Tra byddwn yn monitro ffeiliau CBGY AD yn cael eu cyflwyno trwy DEWi, rydym yn eich annog i gyfathrebu â’r cyswllt CBGY AD yn eich awdurdod lleol i gydlynu dilysu’r rheolau hyn cymaint â phosibl.

Gofynnwn i chi sicrhau nad oes unrhyw wybodaeth neu ddata personol (e.e., rhif yswiriant cenedlaethol, enwau, dyddiad geni) yn cael eu rhannu trwy e-byst – o fewn y testun neu mewn atodiadau / sgrinluniau – wrth godi cwestiynau yn ymwneud â chasgliadau neu ddata.
Gweinyddiaeth casgliad:
Gadewch i ni wybod os oes angen creu unrhyw gyfrifon defnyddwyr newydd i weinyddu’r casgliad trwy DEWi, neu os oes unrhyw gyfrifon defnyddwyr sydd ddim angen mynediad i DEWi bellach. Rhowch wybod am unrhyw newidiadau trwy e-bostio IMS@llyw.cymru.
Please see below a brief note providing an update on the forthcoming SWAC 2024 collection with a link to the technical completion notes added:
SWAC collection window:
The census date for the SWAC 2024 is Tuesday 5 November. DEWi will be open for files to be uploaded and submitted from this date and the window is due to close on Wednesday 11 December.
Cross-DEWi vaildations against SWAC School data:
Cross-DEWi validations to check key field between the SWAC School and SWAC HR returns will be active. These are rule numbers 13139, 13257 and 13258. These rules will not trigger for schools to review unless a SWAC HR file has been uploaded successfully for the local authority (i.e., with no schema or data storage failures – there will still be an opportunity to upload as many versions as possible to ensure the accuracy of the data) and we would encourage you to upload an first version of the data to DEWi as soon as possible to facilitate this process. While we will monitor progress on the submission of SWAC files we would encourage you to communicate with the SWAC School IMS contact(s) for your local authority in order to co-ordinate validation of these rules as much as possible.
Technical completion notes for SWAC return:
Updated technical completion notes for the SWAC HR return can be found at https://www.gov.wales/school-workforce-annual-census-swac-technical-completion-notes-pay-hr-and-absence-data-returns
Sharing of personal information and data:
Please ensure that no personal information and data (e.g., NI numbers, names, date of birth) are shared by email - within the text or as attachments / screenshots - when raising queries relating to the collection and data.
Collection admin:
Please let us know if there are any new user accounts that need to be created for accessing DEWi for the collection, or user accounts that are no longer requiring access to DEWi. Please let us know of any changes by e-mail at IMS@gov.wales.

Google Teaching and Learning Upgrade licences are available to purchase through the EdTech Service to provide practitioners with additional Google tools and services through Hwb.
Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals continues to be available for use free on Hwb. The Teaching and Learning upgrade can be added to Education Fundamentals to provide enhanced video communication, enriched classroom experiences, and integrated tools for more efficiency.
Engage learners and enhance class experiences
The Teaching and Learning upgrade provides enhanced capabilities in Google Meet, Classroom, and Assignments. It works seamlessly with the other productivity tools in Google Workspace for Education and allows you to create compelling content online, integrating your favourite EdTech tools and content, as well as providing opportunities for checking learner work for originality.
The licence also includes practice sets which can transform new and existing content into engaging and interactive assignments. With autograding built in, practitioners can receive performance insights and snapshots into learner progress. Learners get real-time feedback as they complete practice sets, so they know whether they’re on the right track. If they get stuck and need support, they can see automated hints and video suggestions, which are selected based on a learning skill added by the practitioner.
Order Process
Due to the nature of this service, licences will need to be purchased – using the LA Orders Managed Service Lot 2 Order Form – in order windows. These order windows will align with the existing windows for Adobe Creative Cloud licences.
