I have extensive experience working with children from the age of 4 through to 18. Playful and creative methods are used with children in order that they feel counselling is a positive and enjoyable experience, whilst benefiting therapeutically.
There are many times of transition during childhood and adolescence that can be daunting and give rise to negative feelings. At these points young people often benefit from a short number of counselling sessions to help navigate their difficult experiences, and build further resilience.
As a parent, witnessing your child in distress can be a very traumatic experience and can lead to feelings of helplessness; it can also be daunting to seek counselling for your child. If you are worried about your child, we can discuss your concerns in depth, including any queries that you may have about the counselling process.
