Something that we use in school to help kids identify their emotions. Check in with your kids twice a day to identify what zone they are in.
Your child can use a statement like “I feel___ beacause____.” Kids can’t always communicate why they are feeling a certain way. This is an ongoing learning process.
This is another great tool to help with expressing of emotions. "I feel _____. I'm in the ______ zone." Example, "I feel focused because I'm in the green zone." This tool helps identify how someone is feeling as well as checking it with the zone.
