Bio

I graduated from Southwestern University in 2009 with a B.A. in Theatre Production. During college I spent two summers working as a Carpenter/Stage Hand for the Utah Festival Opera Company and spent a semester in New York as a music intern at Saturday Night Live. After earning my degree I began doing freelance work for various local theatre production companies around the greater Austin Area. Between gigs I began substitute teaching and somehow ended up really enjoying it.
In the summer of 2011 I was hired at Farley Middle School to teach 6th grade Math. Over the next 5 years I taught some Math, middle school Theatre Arts, and high school Technical Theatre. In 2016 I made the leap over to Cedar Park HS in Leander ISD to teach Technical Theatre.  But commuting across North Austin was extremely time consuming, so in 2018 I began teaching at Cedar Ridge HS in Round Rock ISD. I was excited to return to Hutto ISD in 2021 when they opened the Ninth Grade Center.

This will be my 3rd year at the Hutto Ninth Grade Center and I am looking forward to a wonderful year of Theatre.
